Skydance Paramount Will Cut Approximately 2,000 US Jobs – News
Skydance Paramount plans to begin mass layoffs during the week starting 27 October, cutting approximately 2,000 American roles within a cost-cutting plan worth $2bn under top executive David Ellison.
The layoffs come after the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed this past August with a value of $8.4bn.
Additional overseas workforce reductions are expected, with Paramount Skydance planning to disclose complete information during its third-quarter financial update on 10 November.
Prior news had indicated the firm planned to eliminate between 2,000 to 3,000 positions before the start of November.
Until December 2024, Paramount retained almost 18,600 permanent and temporary staff and 3,500 contract workers.
The organization did not immediately respond regarding the report.
