Helicopter Twirls Out of Control into Palm Fronds at Popular California Coast
An aircraft flying over a well-attended California beach suddenly began spiraling out of control, ultimately descending rapidly and crashing into a row of palm groves as beachgoers observed.
Recordings posted on the internet show the helicopter starting to spin over Huntington Beach then falling in the direction of the border of the shore, where it ends up lodged amidst palm trees and a steps close to the shoreline route.
Emergency Response Details
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five persons were transported to a medical facility comprising a pair who were in the chopper and were “extracted safely from the crash site” following the crash on the weekend.
Three individuals on the street were hurt. Details on their injuries were not yet released.
What led to the incident was not yet disclosed.
